Livestock and aquaculture

  • Agriculture: increasing opportunities for fruit exports due to the implementation of the SPS-CPTPP and the US. There are many favorable elements to increase exporting vegetables.

Livestock

  • Pig: Masan (240.000 pigs), CP (in contract) has also invested into the province
  • Cow: TH True Milk farm, Vinamilk farm. Milk production accounts for 25% of the total country (2018)

 

Consumption and Market

  • Agriculture: 90% are traditional retail market transactions. The province has 44 supermarkets, ranked third nationwide with Da Nang and behind Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
  • Produce sold to other provinces: Milk, fruits, processed fruits, meat, sugar, vegetables.
  • Export: fresh fruits, processed fruits, cassava, frozen seafoods, chilis, cinnamon, peanuts, tea

 

Infrastructure

  • Irrigation: It is planned to build and increase the irrigation area (27,000 ha).
  • Highway: Planned to improve connection with Hanoi via highway connection.
  • Seaport: Cua Lo port goes to Hai Phong international port, every 8 days/trip.
