The cooperative is currently in 5 business operations: input materials, plant varieties and pesticides service, irrigation service, sale of household goods,, construction materials trading, and peanut oil processing. The cooperative has attracted more than 15 models of agricultural production development with a budget of over 2 billion VND. Some key models that have been successfully implemented, including the recovering of L14 and L20 variety peanuts and Korean KOPIA variety peanuts, the building of a 6-hectare standardized vegetable, tuber and fruit production system that meets Vietgap standards and generates an income of about 2 billion VND/ha/year. |

According to statistics, Son La has over 560 species of medicinal plants, including many precious medicinal herbs, such as: Dang Gui, Jiaogulan, Cat Canh, Sa Nhan Purple, Cardamom, Artichoke, Ying, Anise, Cinnamon, Gac , cloves, three sizes.... Medicinal plants are concentrated in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts. In order to develop medicinal plants in the direction of commodity production, stability, long-term and high economic efficiency, in 2017, the Provincial Science and Technology Project "Building a cooperative model of planting and preliminarily processing a number of medicinal plants". medicinal plants of economic value in Son La province towards sustainable development” has been implemented. The project is chaired by Van Ho Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company; Dr. Tran Thi Hue (Institute of Soil and Agrochemistry under the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences) is in charge. The objective of the project is to build an economic development model of the cooperative that grows and prepares medicinal plants in Moc Chau, Van Ho, contributing to the transformation of crop structure, bringing economic efficiency, increasing income, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation for the people. After more than 2 years of implementation, the project has successfully built a model, transferred and received 3 technological processes of planting, tending and preliminarily processing dong quai, Giao co lam and konjac trees; newly established Bong Ha Vegetable Fruit and Medicinal Cooperative in Van Ho district and associated with Phuong Ngan Clean Medicinal Cooperative (Moc Chau) to plant and preliminarily process medicinal plants. |
