Success Story #3: Safe Vegetables

Duc Chinh Agricultural Cooperative, Hai Duong Province, was established in 2012 with 1,636 members and an area of 360 hectares. Duc Chinh commune was famous for carrots, with an output of 14,000 tons/year. The image of the carrot field here was very impressive. In 2017, although none of the farmers had knowledge and experience in managing safe production processes (GAP) or keep a journal of their cultivation, after being provided with technical guidance according to the basic GAP standards, the cooperative had been able to produce according to GAP standards and opened the way to bringing products to Hanoi supermarkets. Currently, the cooperative is striving to meet VietGap standards to further expand exports to Japan and neighboring markets.
