Green Carbon Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), which is involved in businesses such as agricultural and environmental carbon credit generation and sales, recently announced that it has signed an agreement with Nghe An Agricultural Market Forum (AMPF), which is under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An Province, in the north centre region of Vietnam. Japan and Vietnam had a comprehensive partnership to encourage carbon-free activities and create carbon credits.
GreenCarbon is working on creating carbon credits derived from nature, mainly in Southeast Asia, and is developing a wide range of carbon credits creation from agriculture, such as reduction of methan emission form cow burp, rice fields, and biochar projects.
Through this collaboration in Nghe An Province, GreenCarbon will provide carbon credit creation and management know-how, AMPF will provide support, guidance, and orientation to farmers.
AMPF is supporting the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An Province to build a food value chain that connects the demand and supply of agricultural products. Its role is to collect information on the province's major agricultural products, share it with domestic and international markets, find potential customers, and develop new sales channels.
